Joe Holzhauer, DVM, MBA |

Dr. Joe was born in Wisconsin, and is therefore a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. After spending time at the University of Southern California and the University of Missouri for his undergraduate studies, Dr. Joe graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Upon graduation, he received the University’s Veterinary Cardiology Award, as well as the Iams/VECCS Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Award. He was subsequently awarded an internship with a focus on emergency & critical care medicine at Mission MedVet, a specialty & referral hospital in the Kansas City area. He came to Saint Louis after his internship and worked as an emergency doctor at the Animal Emergency Clinic. During his tenure at the Animal Emergency Clinic, he began his MBA coursework, which he completed in 2007. After nearly five years of emergency medicine, he came to work with us in January of 2006. In May, 2008, Dr. Joe joined Pfizer Animal Health as an Area Veterinarian. While he travels frequently, he maintains his practice here on Saturdays. He is a member of the following organizations: · American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals · American Veterinary Medical Association · Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association · Missouri Veterinary Medical Association · Missouri Academy of Veterinary Practice · Society of Critical Care Medicine · Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society
Dr. Joe has a Border Collie mix named Parker and a Husky mix named Penny. |
